About the author

Catherine Johnson Catherine Johnson was born and raised in Minnesota. She is a graduate of Iowa State University, earning a BS in Journalism with an emphasis in broadcasting. Before embarking on her writing career, she spent several years working in the broadcast industry throughout the Midwest. Prior to writing Shades of Darkness, Shades of Grace, Catherine worked in the field of corporate communications, writing for organizations as diverse as Fortune 500 companies and regional non-profits.

Set in her native Minnesota, Shades of Darkness, Shades of Grace, is her first published work of fiction. Currently, Catherine resides with her family in Iowa, where she continues pursuing her writing interests. Almost every summer, she returns to the spectacular beauty of northern Minnesota, spending time on the picturesque shores of Lake Superior. One of Minnesota’s many natural wonders;
